Start by downloading the free myRUC app from your preferred provider. You use the app to add and manage your vehicle, view your current RUC licence, purchase and renew RUC, receive reminders, and transfer your updated licence to the myRUC digital display.

RUC licence charges

RUC user charges will depend on the distance purchased and weight class of your vehicle.

Your complete transaction total is displayed before you approve payment. All RUC service payments, including those to NZTA, are made within the myRUC app using the same secure POLi banking payment method used when paying via NZTA.

It establishes a secure connection to your bank within the app and allows you to pay directly from your own bank account. Easy.
